So funny enough the other popular Matt Fraction comic is the one I alluded to giving to a friend who beat allegations of illiteracy. I’m not 100% it’s something you’ll like but happy to let you borrow it after you’re done with Paper Girls. It’s very okay imo. He also has a pretty fun book about Superman’s Pal Jimmy Olsen which I like more and can also lend you. Weirder and more playful. It looks like the primary artist David Aja has a run on Iron Fist that visual storytelling wise looks super similar to Hawkeye. Would be curious to check that out.
When I taught middle school, I offered a class I called "Say It With A Punchline". I taught my students how to draw, write, and set up effective comic strips. And so, I say Yay!
